Voorhees Swim Club Rules
- ABSOLUTELY NO GLASS CONTAINTERS ARE PERMITTED INTO THE CLUB!!! (or other breakable items). If you bring any items in glass containers you will be asked to bring it back to your car. Thank you for understanding the potential harm this can cause our members and also, should glass be found in the pool, the pool must be drained and cleaned and refilled, which is a tremendous expense. Some examples include: Pyrex or other glass casserole dishes or bowls; nail polish bottles; and glass beverage bottles
- The pool office is for staff/lifeguards only. If you need something or have a question, please approach the office by using the window near the front entrance.
- Chairs and tables are available, and members are welcome to bring their own.
- Cost for guests is $10/guest. Guest passes can be purchased in advance or at the gate prior to guest entry.
- Please remember that children 12 and under MUST test for their swim bands. Red gives full access to the pool and white is only for the shallow end. A guard can go over what each test entails.
- Children must be 12 or older to be at the pool without an adult. 16 to sign in a guest on their own.
- Outside food and drink is allowed. Members can reserve the grill. Members may want to bring their own grilling utensils.
- Floats and inflatable rafts are only permitted during designated special events, they are not permitted any other time in the pool during normal open swim hours. (Floatation devices for infants/toddlers swimming are not included, but an adult must be within arms-reach of them while they are in the pool.)
- Swim diapers MUST be worn. Please do not use regular diapers.
- Please help keep our pool and club clean! Before leaving please throw away your trash.
Swim Band Rules
- Access to the pool requires a swim proficiency test for all members and guest under the age of 13.
- Children do not need to take the test if they remain in the shallow area, designated by the rope.
- All children must demonstrate a minimum level of swim proficiency prior to entering the pool area past the rope and the deep end.
- Proficiency levels are determined by colored bands:
- White: shallow area past the rope only. Deep end requires adult supervision.
- Red: Entire pool, including diving well
- The initial band (red or white) is provided at no cost.
- If a band is lost or forgotten, a new band must be purchased at the office. The cost of the band is $3.00, which is refunded if it is returned upon leaving the club.
- Guests under the age of 13 must test and will receive a temporary band for the day.
- Proficiency tests must be retaken each swim very season.
